About the program

NHAI Internship Scheme is being offered to provide learning opportunities to young talent in the field of Civil Engineering, through a mutually beneficial Inter Industry-Academia association. The Scheme provides an opportunity to the young students to learn and operate in a real-life environment and equip themselves with practical knowledge and skills in fields such as Project Design and Appraisal, Procurement, Project Management, Monitoring and Execution, Land Acquisition, Performance Management and Contract Management etc., The interns are expected to contribute in the functioning of NHAI by way of their inputs such as empirical analysis, briefing reports, papers, research through data/feedback collected during field visits.




Perks

1. Students pursuing Graduation / Post-Graduation/Research in Civil Engineering from AICTE affiliated Institutions or any recognized University / Institution within India and are currently in the final year or pre-final year / semester of their course.

2. Should have obtained overall 70% marks or equivalent grade in all the previous yearly / semester examinations and no backlogs (re-appears) of any subjects.

Terms of Engagement

1. At the time of joining on selection, applicants shall require to produce a letter from their Supervisor / HOD/Principal indicating their status in the institution and ‘No Objection’ for allowing their students to undergo internship for the period for which he/she is selected.

2. While doing internship in NHAI, the intern should have a minimum of 75% attendance and in case of less than 75% attendance, no extension of internship period is allowed and no experience certificate will be issued. The attendance record and the details of work supervision shall be maintained by the respective Heads of the Divisions.

3. All the interns will have to abide by the work rules and ethics set by NHAI. Other than the stipend NHAI will have no financial liability to the interns.

4. Accommodation and travel by the Interns to the Internship venue is their sole responsibility.

5. Students shall submit an undertaking before joining at their place of deployment to the effect that they are undergoing internship at their own risk and NHAI won’t be held responsible in case of any eventuality during the training.

6. At the end of the Internship, the student shall be required to submit a copy of the Project Report to his Controlling / Reporting Officer in NHAI.

7. Interns will be required to have their own laptops. NHAI shall provide them working space, internet facility and other necessary facilities as deemed fit by the concerned Heads.

8. Experience Certificate: A certificate regarding successful completion of Internship shall be issued under the signatures of the concerned Controlling Officer, where the interns are deployed.

The results of the Chartered Accountants Intermediate Examination Will be announced Tomorrow

The results of the Chartered Accountants Intermediate Examination(Old course & New Course) held

in January 2021 are likely to be declared on Friday, the 26th March 2021(evening)/Saturday the

27th March 2021 and the same can be accessed by candidates on the following websites:

In addition to above, it may be noted that for accessing the result at the above

ADMISSION TO THE RASHTRIYA INDIAN MILITARY COLLEGE, DEHRADUN, JANUARY - 2022 TERM - EXAMINATION TO BE HELD ON 5th JUNE 2021


The qualifying examination for admission to the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, January 2022 term, will be held on 5 th June 2021 F.N. and A.N only at selected centres in the country of which Chennai city will be one. The examination will consist of both written and Viva-Voce tests. The written examination will consist of three papers viz. Mathematics, General

Knowledge and English. The medium of examination will be in English or Hindi for the subjects Mathematics and General Knowledge. Last date for the submission of online applications of AICTE PG Scholarship Scheme 20th March

 

The last date for the submission of online applications under AICTE PG Scholarship Scheme has further been extended up to 20th March 2O2l for the students and 31"t March for the Institutes. The details of online Portal for the scheme and deadlines for the online applications by students and its verification by the respective institutions are as follows:

The guidelines of the above scheme may be accessed at the AICTE website. The students are advised to submit their online applications well in time so that their institutions are able to verify applications within the prescribed timelines. Applications received after the last date shall not be entertained. TNPSC Combined Engineering Subordinate Services Examination Apply online up to April 4th

 Applications are invited from eligible candidates, only through online mode up to 04.04.2021 for direct recruitment to the posts included in the Combined Engineering Subordinate Services Examination.


EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: (as on 05.03.2021)

 Applicants should possess the following or its equivalent qualification on the date of this Notification. 

Junior Draughting Officer in Highways Department 

A Diploma in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from any University or Institution awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training of the concerned State Government; Provided that while making appointment by direct recruitment to the post of Junior Draughting Officer, preference shall be given if other things being equal, to those who have undergone one year of apprenticeship training under the Government of India Scheme or the State Government Apprenticeship Scheme.”

Junior Draughting Officer in Public Works Department 

Diploma in Civil Engineering awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu or its an equivalent qualification recognized by the Director-General of Employment and Training, Government of India or by the All India Council for Technical Education; or Diploma in Architectural Assistantship awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent qualification recognized by the Director General of Employment and Training, Government of India or by the All India Council for Technical Education. 

Junior Technical Assistant in Handlooms and Textiles Department 

i) Must possess Minimum General Educational Qualification. AND ii) Must possess a Diploma in Handloom Technology obtained from the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Salem or Varanasi or from any other recognized Institute of Handloom Technology. (OR) Diploma in Textile Manufacture obtained from the Technological Diploma Examination Board, Madras or the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu. 

Junior Engineer in Fisheries Department

 Must possess a Diploma in Civil Engineering. Provided that other things being equal, preference shall be given to those who have undergone apprenticeship training for a period of not less than one year under the Government of India Schemes or State Government apprenticeship training scheme.

HOW TO APPLY: 

1. Applicants should apply only through online mode in the Commission’s Websites www.tnpsc.gov.in / www.tnpscexams.in. 

2. One-Time Registration (OTR) using Aadhaar is mandatory before applying for any post. Applicant should register only once in the One-Time Registration by paying Rs.150/- as Registration fee. Successfully registered One-Time Registration is valid for 5 years from the date of Registration. All the applications should be submitted using the One-Time Registration ID and password registered by the applicant. 

3. To apply under the One-Time Registration system, the applicants should have a scanned image of their photograph, certificate wherever insisted and signature in CD/DVD/Pen Drive to upload the same as per the specifications given in the guidelines for scanning and uploading of photograph and signature. (Refer www.tnpsc.gov.in / www.tnpscexams.in. ‘Instructions to Applicants’)

4. No applicant is permitted to create more than one registration ID in One-Time Registration System

. 5. Applicants should enter the Unique ID and password to view the already available information and update them. They shall not share the ID with any other person or agency. 

6. One-Time Registration is not an application for any post. It is just a collection of information from the applicants and giving a separate dashboard to each applicant to facilitate them to maintain their own profile. Applicant who wishes to apply for any post shall click “Apply” against the post Notified in the Commission’s Website and use the same USER ID and PASSWORD given for ONE-TIME REGISTRATION. 

7. Applicants should select the name of the post or service for which they wish to apply. 

8. Applicants are required to upload their photograph and signature as per the www.tnpsc.gov.in / www.tnpscexams.in. of the ‘Instructions to Applicants’. 

9. Online applications submitted without the photograph, specified documents, and a signature will be rejected. 

10. All the particulars mentioned in the online application including the name of the Candidate, Post applied, educational qualifications, Communal Category, Date of Birth, Address, Gender, and Email ID, Centre of Examination etc. will be considered as final and no modifications will be allowed after the last date specified for applying online. Since certain fields are firm and fixed and cannot be edited, applicants are requested to fill in the online application form with the utmost care and caution as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained. 

11. Print Option a) After submitting the application, applicants can print/save their application in PDF format. b) On entering user ID and password, applicants can download their application and print, if required. 17 c) Applicants need not send the printout of the online application or any other supporting documents to the Commission. The certificates will be verified only when the applicants reach the zone of consideration for Certificate Verification.

NEET 2021 Exam Can be Attempted in Tamil from this year onwards


NEET 2021: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has said that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) examination this year will be conducted as per the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. For the first time, students will also have the option to attempt the exam in 11 languages including Tamil. 

The agency said that the NEET (Graduate) 2021 for admission in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS courses will be conducted on August 1 in offline mode. 

Last year, around 15.97 lakh candidates registered out of which 14.37 lakh appeared for the examination on September 13 despite the pandemic fear. However, those in the containment zone were not able to appear for the exam so they were given another chance on October 14, therefore, the results were delayed.

Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2021

            


CANDIDATES TO ENSURE THEIR ELIGIBILITY FOR THE EXAMINATION: All candidates (male/female/transgender) are requested to carefully read the Rules of Civil Services Examination notified by the Government (Department of Personnel and Training) and this Notice of Examination derived from these Rules. The Candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admission to the examination.




Their admission to all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of e-Admit Card to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by the Commission. The Commission takes up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents only after the candidate has qualified for the Interview/Personality Test.

2. HOW TO APPLY: Candidates are required to apply Online by using the website https://upsconline.nic.in Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the above-mentioned website. Brief Instructions for filling up the "Online Application Form" given in Appendix-IIA.

2.1 Candidate should have details of one Photo ID Card viz. Aadhaar Card/Voter Card/PAN Card/Passport/Driving Licence/Any other Photo ID Card issued by the State/Central Government. The details of this Photo ID Card will have to be provided by the candidate while filling up the online application form. The candidates will have to upload a scanned copy of the Photo ID whose details have been provided in the online application by him/her. This Photo ID Card will be used for all future referencing and the candidate is advised to carry this Photo ID Card while appearing for Examination/Personality Test.

2.2 The facility of withdrawal of Application is available for those candidates who do not want to appear for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination. In this regard, Instructions are mentioned in Appendix IIB of this Examination Notice

3. LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS: The online Applications can be filled up to 24th March 2021 till 6:00 PM. The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admit Card will be made available on the UPSC website [ https://upsconline.nic.in ] for downloading by candidates. No Admit Card will be sent by post.

 4. PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS: Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (negative marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.

5. FACILITATION COUNTER FOR GUIDANCE OF CANDIDATES:

In case of any guidance/information/clarification regarding their applications, candidature, etc. candidates can contact UPSC’s Facilitation Counter near gate ‘C’ of its campus in person or over Telephone No. 011-23385271/011-23381125/011-23098543 on working days between 10.00 hrs and 17.00 hrs.

6. MOBILE PHONES BANNED: (a) The use of any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smartwatches etc. or camera or blue tooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination is strictly prohibited. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including a ban from future examinations. (b) Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones/pagers to the venue of the examination, as arrangement for safe-keeping cannot be assured.

7. Candidates are advised not to bring any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination, as safe-keeping of the same, cannot be assured. The commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
